【リゾート地に建つ平屋の別荘/one-story villa built in a resort area】ホテルライクなデザインです。

主な壁には淡路産の瓦のボーダータイルを貼っています。瓦の焼きムラで起きる微妙な色や形の変化をそのまま取り入れています。その変化で壁に炎の力強さが表現されます。瓦は床の一部にも使用しています。 その他、壁の一部にも淡路の丸瓦の仕上げ、淡路の左官仕上げなどがあります。それらはこの場所性を感じる物です。何れも、従来の和建築の使い方ではなく、他にはない淡路の、この場所にあるリゾートとしての使い方です。 全体にバナキュラーとモダンの融合を意図しました。

The main walls are covered with Awaji tile border tiles. The subtle changes in color and shape caused by the uneven baking of the tiles are incorporated as they are. These changes express the strength of the flames on the walls. Tiles are also used for part of the floor. Other parts of the walls are also finished with Awaji round tiles and Awaji plastering. These are things that give a sense of this place. All of them are not the conventional use of Japanese architecture, but the use of Awaji as a resort that is unique to this location. The entire building is intended to be a fusion of vernacular and modern.
