India is famous for its tigers, and the Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan is one of the best places to see them. The park is home to a large number of tigers, and it is not uncommon to spot these majestic animals during a safari. Today is our full day safari in Ranthambore.
Full day safari means you can go to any zone & can explore the park to the fullest.
It was the day of 101Arrowhead & her partner T101in zone 2. We saw them romancing & then moved to the other part of the jungle. It was scorching heat here. First half was full of romance , beautiful sunrise, open mouth crocodiles, dancing Peacocks, monitor lizard in water, eagle, blue bull & of course beautiful jungle .
We explored 4 zones in the morning from 6am to 11.30am zone 3 , zone 2 , zone6 & zone10.
Second half is full of adventure . We saw 5 tigers in evening & lot of wild life .
Overview of Ranthambore National Park :
Ranthambore National Park is a national park in Rajasthan, India. It is bounded to the north by the Banas River and to the south by the Chambal River. It is named after the historic Ranthambore Fort, which lies within the park. There is Ranthambore Ganesh ji ka mandir in the fort.
Ranthambore National Park was established as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary.
Ranthambore National Park is home to a wide variety of flora & fauna. The Park is rich in wildlife such as Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, Wild water buffalo, Gaur, nilgai, Barasingha, Black buck, Chinkara , wild boar, sambar, Indian muntjac, Indian hog deer, Spotted deer, striped hyena, Dhole, Indian wolf, Bengal fox, Desert fox, Golden Jackal, Caracal, Jungle cat, Rusty spotted cat, Leopard cat, Asian palm civet, Indian grey mongoose, Ruddy Mongoose, Long-eared hedgehog , Northern palm squirrel, Indian Porcupine, Indian Hare, sloth bear, southern plains gray langur, crocodile.
There are 10 safari zones in Ranthambore National Park: Zones 1-10. Although the park initially had just 5 Zones, the other 5 were added as it grew in popularity. Even though it is believed that Zones 1-5 are the best for spotting tigers, Zones 6-10 also offer sufficient opportunities for tiger sighting. Among these, Zone 2, dotted with numerous water holes, is the most important zone in the park where several animals are regularly spotted, including leopards.
