Kenton Hall - Apologia - Live From Home

If you missed my last missive, I'm staying awake for the last 33 1/3 hours of the Indiegogo campaign, emailing people, recording songs and generally making a nuisance of myself.

At the end of the first hour, may I present the first of many songs I'll trying to dredge from my memory and onto film.

This is Apologia, originally from ist's King Martha. Absolutely one of my favourite songs, but I seldom play it because I never seem to get it right. It has this awesome New Orleans-esque horn arrangement that I always miss too much. But I was listening to the original demo from the early days of the band, when it was fresh and new and I was new, if not fresh and I thought I might finally have found a way back to it.

I wrote this when I was 25 years old, out of a deep-seated fear of what I was becoming and what I'd done. I didn't bloody know the half of it. But there you go.
