July 1 is approaching quickly, when nearly all California employers are required to design, implement and maintain a workplace violence prevention plan (WVPP) as a result of SB 553. In addition to a plan, the new law requires employers to maintain a violent incident log, as well as provide yearly training to employees on how to identify and avoid workplace violence.
