I am spending a day in Coimbatore, a vibrant & diverse city in the northwest of Tamil Nadu. Every corner of this city has a temple dedicated to various Hindu deities. I visited some of the most popular ones on my visit here like the Karivaradharaja Perumal Temple and Arulmigu Mundhi Vinayagar Temple. Another notable place is the #Ayyappan temple which is regarded as a second #Sabarimala.
Coimbatore also offers delicious cuisine from the southern states of India. Especially Pure Veg restaurant chains like Sree Anandhaas and Sree Annapoorna where one can enjoy local specialities like Ghee roast dosa, Vada Sambar, Vazhakkai Bhajji, Medhu Bondas. Another astonishing thing to do in Coimbatore is shopping for fabric and clothes, it is one of the best textile hubs in Tamil Nadu. I bought some beautiful sarees and took this shopping train to the Lulu Hypermarket here. And before leaving, I wanted to take back the flavour of this place with me, the best place to get that is A1 chips! Crispy banana chips, Achapams, Murukku are a must-buy here!
