The Original Game Boy is one of the biggest 'game changers' in the history of video games, and essentially ushered in the popularity of handheld games. There are many games that will be classic forever. There are, however, a much, much higher number of simply awful, forgettable, or downright weird games. CiB Game Boy Theater shows you some of the games you might not (and shouldn't be...) familiar with.

Top Gun Guts & Glory. I'm tempted to just 'NEXT' this right now. What is there to talk about? Uh... I don't know what I'm doing. I can't find any enemies or landmarks. I can't turn left or right (just barrel roll). Can't do anything REALLY. Great! NEXT!

We previously looked at Mortal Kombat II, and if you thought that was bad, wait until you see the original. That is not your PC/phone chugging along... that is the actual FPS of this game. I mentioned before in the MK2 video, I specifically remember playing either MK1 or MK2 on Game Boy quite a bit, and being pretty impressed with it. Back then, simply seeing something like MK on a handheld device was amazing - nowadays? Just look at it.

The difficulty is also a bit bizarre. Before I knew any moves, I could barely beat the first guy - after I learned the long-range moves, they barely ever ducked/guarded against them. Talk about night and day. And those FATALITIES (lol). I kinda had fun, but only because it's so silly nowadays. Thanks for watching!
