On Monday the fourteenth of February 1966 Australia converted from Pounds and Pence to Dollars and Cents.

Known as "C" day, conversion day it forever changed currency in Australia.

There were four decimal banknotes issued to replace four pre decimal banknotes.

The one Dollar replaced the ten Schilling
The two Dollar replaced the Pound
The ten Dollar replaced the five Pound
The twenty Dollar replaced the ten Pound.

The notes were designed by Gordon Andrews and are signed by Coombs and Wilson. The notes are titled "Commonwealth of Australia" which was retained until 1972
