Petosky to Torch Bay

Welcome to Day 13 of this trip. The weather has much improved, yesterdays heat and humidity is is now cooler with scattered showers. Coming out of Petosky its easy to find the Little Traverse Wheelway. This paved path keeps me off the very busy route 31 most of the way to the water front town of Charlevoix.
No hills, pleasant temps, I haven’t had a nicer day on this tour. Charlevoix looks like an affluent lakeside vacation hub, Traffic funnels into the downtown and moves at a walking pace. I'm able to avoid this by moving a block or two away and enjoy a quiet ride to within a mile or so of the Torch Bay Motel.
I do have a mechanical issue. The front derailleur will not shift out of the small chainring. I’m pretty sure the shift cable has slipped, but I cant get a firm grip on it to reset it. A neat design, the derailleur defaults to the low or easy set of gears. This is better than sticking me with the higher (harder) gears. I’m able to climb hills easily, although a stronger rider might complain about the reduced top speed potential.
A bike shop in Traverse City (destination for tomorrow) says they'll be waiting to help me out. Easy Peasy.
My destination tonight is the Torch Bay Inn. A well kept old timey motor hotel, color scheme revolved around turquoise. Dinner comes from a local deli / grocery store. Food and a shower quickly puts me to sleep.
