English translation:

All the hostages, all the deceased from Israel and Europe have been given a name.
Their relatives and friends have been heard on TV and in
the newspaper.
Their lives, dreams, ideals are known to us, forever.
I believe that is just.

But I do pose a question.
Are Palestinian lives of equal value to us?
Do we also know the names of their dead babies, their humiliated grandparents and murdered children?
Do we know their personal dreams, friends, school reports?

Palestinian lives are usually listed by statistics, 48 dead, 1200 injured.
No names, but numbers.
It shows how we distribute our compassion.
Because Palestinians are also burned alive.
Palestinian villages have endured pogroms, executed by Israelians.
Palestinian children are being tortured, are imprisoned for years without charge, or without any aid.

This is something that has been happening generation after generation, for more than 75 years.
And maybe that's exactly why we've become immune.
To us they are not people, they are accumulated suffering.
'Does it never end?'

But to me, it's family.
I also think: 'Does it never end?' although I am talking about the mindless support for a system of apartheid and ethnic cleansing, that is obvious to me.

Prime Minister Rutte proclaimed after the Hamas attacks that “We have not often seen this conflict targeted at very ordinary people.”
Apparently, he does not consider Palestinians to be ordinary people.
But they are there.
We exist.

Tiny Gaza has 2.2 million inhabitants.
Almost half of them are still children.
Of all children in Gaza 80% have been diagnosed as depressed.
Do we ever wonder what they dream?
Israel instructs 2 million desperate citizens to all head south, in only one day.
Supposedly for their safety.
Then Israel bombs these refugees – in the south.

Israel is advising entire hospitals to move because the north will be wiped out.
But how?
How can the sick and injured confined to medical equipment, leave hospitals?
The elderly, the sick, the disabled, the weakest...
A a result they are left behind to face their fate.
Last night we witnessed such a fate.
An overcrowded hospital in Gaza City was hit.
I witnessed the imagery.

I saw a man walking around with a plastic bag.
He held it out before him above the crowd as if it contained a precious bread.
It wasn't bread.
The transparent bag contained the remains of his children's flesh and bones.
I sat down and howled like an animal.

There's something wrong with humanity.
Our own.
And that of everyone who watches and does not intervene.
I’m left with one wish, because dreams do not exist in this hell.
That someone will record the names of the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees, dead and wounded, and then interview their relatives on national television, night after night.

This amounts to countless TV broadcasts.
It would be absurd.
But fair.
