Are Long-Term Care Nurses Real Nurses?

If you practice nursing in a setting other than at the hospital bedside, it is pretty likely that you too have felt the subtle (or blatant) stigmatization of your career choices from others. Haven't we all heard the mantra "you're going to lose all your nursing skills" at least a hundred times?

It is time to consider the idea that each nursing field comes with its own unique set of nursing skills. They each play an individual and important role within the healthcare system and, ultimately, effect the lives and health of our patients and society. I proudly work in Long Term Care
