In this tutorial we look at a classic left hand technique for solo jazz piano - stride piano. This video covers an explanation of what stride piano is and how to construct a simple but effective stride pattern for use in jazz standards. We are using a combination of bass notes and two note rootless voicings here. The pattern is demonstrated using the A section of Honeysuckle Rose.
