Today was tough. Not because of the ride itself, but because of what it means to travel solo with everything you own strapped to an electric motorcycle. Charging should be simple, right? But in the UK, even that feels like a gamble. I found myself hopping from one charger to the next, dealing with broken stations, locked plugs, and the constant worry that if I walk away, I might come back to find my bike—or all my gear—gone.
Back in Asia, I never thought twice about leaving the bike to grab food or rest while charging. Here, I’m always on edge. It changes the way you travel. It changes how free you feel.
Still, I made it to Snowdonia and it was breathtaking. That moment where the mountains open up in front of you? Worth it. I ended the day with some luck—found a kind Airbnb host who let me trickle charge overnight. Little wins that make a big difference.
This is the reality of electric travel. unpredictable. But I wouldn’t trade it.
