Spike Milligan - Parkinson 1980 - Jack Hobbs Dysentery Anecdote

Описание к видео Spike Milligan - Parkinson 1980 - Jack Hobbs Dysentery Anecdote

Spike Milligan on Parkinson, 5th November 1980, with James Coburn and Professor Eric Laithwaite telling the story of his Publisher, Jack Hobbs, who had dysentery. Spike swore this was a true story and it has since become an urban legend and been nicked by various other comedians. Spike swore in subsequent interviews this was a true story.

I won't spoil the ending but apparently when he walked through the train station everyone, being British, didn't look or comment and on approaching the ticket barrier the conductor said, "morning Mr Hobbs, been on holiday have we Sir!" :)

He also told this story in An Evening With Spike Milligan in 1996 which can be found here :-
