Skybox Cosmic Teams

Skybox Cosmic Teams is
a series of non-sports trading cards produced by SkyBox in 1993, featuring characters and teams from the DC Comics universe. It followed the 1992 DC Cosmic Cards set and focused on the various superhero groups and their affiliated characters.
Features of the card set

Team-based focus: The base set of 150 cards highlights many of DC's different groups, such as the Justice League America, the Justice Society of America, the Green Lantern Corps, and the Legionnaires.
"Team Triptychs": A unique design feature of the set is a series of 12 "triptych" puzzles, where three individual cards combine to form a single larger image of a team.
Original artwork: The cards feature original artwork by various comics artists. Card backs include character bios, first appearance information, and a panel of art from a classic comic.
Hologram inserts: The set includes a small number of insert cards featuring holograms of popular characters like Superman and Lobo. These continued the numbering from the previous year's set.
Character inclusions: The set is known for its wide-ranging cast of characters, although notable omissions include most of the core Batman characters.

The significance of the Cosmic Teams set

While not as valuable as some early non-sports trading card sets, Cosmic Teams is considered a notable collectible for a few reasons:
