Secret Gili Islands, things to do in Lombok, Lombok hidden gems, Wanderlust, Indonesia

As we continue on our journey through Lombok we leave Kuta early in the morning and embark on a 2hr drive across south west Lombok through stunning scenery and over a mountain to arrive at 10am in Sekotong.
We get a private Jukung (fishermen’s boat) with the lovely Salinah and his father in law who takes us first to Gili Nanggu where we spend the morning snorkelling, sunbathing and exploring the small island. At around lunch time we go to Gili Sudak where there is a Warung (local Indonesian restaurant) where we have some lunch and do a bit more exploring this time walking the extend of the island once over which took us 1hr. Salinah was surprised to find out we’d done that as apparently it’s not something tourists do, but we both thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend ;-)
