How to find the right Dirt trails - 5 tips from KNOX

Finding the right off road green lanes can literally be new terrain for riders getting into riding their bikes off tarmac. We’ve done quite a lot of trail riding in the UK over the past couple of years and have caught the bug well and truly; in our opinion, it’s one of the most fun things you can do on a motorcycle!

However, its one thing having the desire to ride green laning road and another thing entirely in knowing where to go safely and legally and there is quite a knowledge base that you need to build up.

Having gone through this ourselves over the past couple of years, we wanted to share 5 tips to finding the right trails with you. While this is directly applied to the UK and its Green Lanes and BOAT’s (Byways open to all traffic), we were careful to make the principles applicable to most countries.
We think that whether you are green laning or riding trails on an Adventure Bike, Dual Sports or Enduro bike, applying these principles will enable most people to be able to get out there legally and safely as possible in the quickest amount of time.

In the video, we link to the TRF (trail rider federation), whose website is https://www.trf.org.uk/ and we strongly recommend UK riders joining as it’s a massive resource and shortcut to gaining local trail riding info especially if you join a localised closed FaceBook group.
