Betso Bowtie Antenna Review

Описание к видео Betso Bowtie Antenna Review

In this video I review the Betso Bowtie antennas. Starting with a quick overview you’ll get a close look at the components included with each antenna system and then I share the results of my field testing. The Betso Bowtie is a compact wideband antenna designed for use on a sound bag. Its 470-700 MHz bandwidth, omnidirectional polar pattern (in a horizontal plane), and 700 MHz low pass filter deliver excellent performance in complex RF environment.

Most commonly production sound bags with portable wireless receivers often use whip antennas that are typically included with the receiver. For close range applications when using up to two receivers this usually will suffice, However as the production bag has continued to evolve over the years we are now seeing higher receiver counts often up to twelve wireless receivers in a bag. This creates some unique problems which can include receiver intermodulations and also separating these antennas is difficult due to the fact that they require a ground plane to operate.

Until now most production mixers have utilized the compact and popular dipole antennas in a diversity array such as the popular and compact Lectrosonics SN600a dipole antenna. Although this antenna offers a 100 Mhz bandwidth by tuning the center frequency and performs quite well it requires you to customize your hardware in the bag. The Betso Bowtie antenna offers a unique and compact solution in that it gives you a 470-700 MHz usable range with high pass filter roll off above 700 MHz and includes the special bag mounting hardware and two low profile coaxial cables in a convenient and reasonably priced solution
