Alla Prima Painting Tutorial - 5 Easy Steps to GET STARTED - Oil Painting Demo

Описание к видео Alla Prima Painting Tutorial - 5 Easy Steps to GET STARTED - Oil Painting Demo

Hello everyone and welcome for a new tutorial, in this video, I’m going to show you how I made this painting, alla prima, which means wet on wet, in a single painting session. I’m going to guide you through my process and more specifically, focus on the mindset of the alla prima approach. I’ll try to divide my process in 5 simple steps to help you in your own paintings.

Chapters:
00:00 Intro
00:55 Conceive
04:06 Start
07:26 Control
11:22 Relax
14:22 Finish

Now, when I say easy steps, I’m not saying that they make painting easy but that they are easy to understand and start implementing in your method. After that, painting is never easy but at least, with these 5 steps in mind, it’s easy to just jump in and start painting.

I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. I do mostly drawing and oil painting, and my goal is always to provide techniques, thoughts and explanations that can be useful to anyone, from beginners to more advanced artists.
