FLOWER FESTIVAL: the pride of the Silleteros | WIDE

Jaime is 74 years old. He is a flower grower.

This year, as he has done for the past 51 years, Jaime will make his own silleta, a huge wreath of flowers specially designed for the Medellín Flower Festival.

This most awaited event takes place every year in early august and the parade of the silleteros is the most popular attraction at the flower festival. About 800,000 people line the route, which stretches over more than two and a half kilometres.
