Welcome to the Project Integration Management Module. In Module 3, we discussed project stakeholder management. Who are they? How do we manage your expectations? And what kind of communications is appropriate for each stakeholder? And what tools can we use to enhance that communication? As part of that module, we also learned about stakeholder engagement, assessment, matrices and prepared a stakeholder register. Finally, we discussed how to put together a communication plan for the project. As part of module 4, we'll learn how to prepare the business case for a project, how to prepare a project charter, the project planning processes including integrating the plans from different functions to prepare the Project Management Plan, the role of a project manager as an integrator of the work of his or her team. Finally, we'll introduce the concept of change management and learn the steps in an effective change management process. At the end of the module, as part of our assignment, we'll prepare the project charter for the Wilmont's Pharmacy Drome Case. There's a lot to cover, so let's get started. The Project Integration Management is the project processes and activities to identify, define, combine, unify and coordinate the various processes and project management activities within the project management process groups. Or in other words, it's the core activities of a project manager. It involves pulling together and integrating a project plan to deliver the project. So what's all that mean? The Project Integration Management process start with developing the project charter. Next, we develop the project plan, then we direct and manage the work, manage project knowledge, monitor and control the work, perform integrated change control and finally close the project. It all sounds pretty simple. However, there are a lot of steps that go into these processes and a whole project team to coordinate and get on board. Over the next few lessons, we'll look at how to perform these processes and some of the steps involved in getting them right.
