This video lays out the top 10 reasons why I think all fans of the TV show Game of Thrones should read the books. The Song of Ice and Fire series first came out with the book A Game of Thrones in 1996, and has now reached 5 books in length with 2 more to come. While I started watching the show Game of Thrones first and love it too, reading the Song of Ice and Fire series only added to that enjoyment.
