Welcome to the KPIS International School's AP Research Exhibition 2024! Let us take you back to a remarkable event held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, where our dedicated students showcased the culmination of their year-long research projects. The Experience Center at KPIS was buzzing with excitement and anticipation. Parents, teachers, and fellow students gathered, their faces alight with curiosity and pride. The air was filled with the promise of discovery and the celebration of hard work and academic excellence.

Throughout the year, our AP Research students were on an intellectual adventure. They researched about topics that sparked their curiosity, meticulously planning and designing their research methods. They collected data, analyzed their findings, and formulated conclusions. This journey was not just about academics; it was about growing as thinkers, leaders, and global citizens.

On the day of the exhibition, as you walked into the Experience Center, you were greeted by a vibrant display of research posters. Each poster was a window into a world of inquiry and discovery. The students, standing by their posters, radiated confidence and pride, ready to share their insights and answer questions.

Each research project told a unique story. Krist, for example, explored how gamification in mathematics affects Thai 6th-grade students' academic performance. His eyes lit up as he explained how turning learning into a game can make a significant difference in student engagement and achievement.

Sasha's research took us on a journey across borders and identities, examining how Filipino-born and/or raised students living abroad maintain or adapt their cultural identities over time. Her passion for understanding the nuances of cultural identity shone through her presentation.

Gigi's project on PM 2.5 pollution impacts daily life in Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai, brought a critical environmental issue to the forefront. She shared heart-wrenching stories from her interviews with local residents, highlighting the real-world implications of pollution.

Somza investigated the contribution of physical exercise to the well-being and BMI of university students in Thailand. Her findings suggested that access to exercise facilities on campus plays a vital role in students' health.

Ritesh’s project on the correlation between online news sentiment and stock market impacts delved into the world of finance and media. His data-driven approach provided intriguing insights into how news can influence market dynamics.

At the exhibition, researchers answered questions about what inspired them, why they chose their topics, how they conducted their studies, what they discovered, and what they learned from the experience. They showed how much effort they put into their work.

The AP Research Exhibition was more than just a display of posters; it was a celebration of learning, growth, and achievement. It also contributed to their portfolios, and boosted their college applications. The event also served as a platform for the students to reflect on their journey, share their challenges, and celebrate their successes.
