太鼓芸能集団 鼓童が1988年より佐渡で開催している夏の野外フェスティバル。「たたく」をテーマ­に世界各地のアーティストを招き、佐渡から世界へ、海を越えた＜地球祝祭＞の場を発信­し続けています。

Held for the first time in 1988, Earth Celebration (EC) is an annual summer festival presented theTaiko Performing Arts Ensemble, Kodo, in tandem with the people of Sado Island. Through the years, EC has brought innumerable artists from around the world to Sado and continues to send a message of "celebrating of the Earth" across the globe.
