In this video you see the National spokesman of the American Lung Association & Board Certified Pulmonologist / Critical Care Physician, Cedric Jamie Rutland, touch on how vaping can affect the lungs (8/2019). Though vaping is considered a 'safer option' or 'better' alternative when compared to smoking greater than or equal to 1 pack of cigarettes a day, some 'counter-fit' vapes have recently led to an increase of lung injuries / hospitalizations. Another reminder of why NO smoking is the BEST option for human health.

According to the CDC, as of October 8, 2019, 1,299 confirmed & probable lung injury cases associated with use of e-cigarette, or vaping, products were reported by 49 out of 50 states. We now have data on 1,043 patients of these patients including age and sex:
70% of patients are male. 80% of patients are under 35 years old. 15% are under 18 years old!
26 deaths have been confirmed in 21 states.
