Hello my dear friends! Today I am sharing with you basic pan-fried oyster mushrooms. Cooking oyster mushrooms is quite simple and quickly sauteed, and they make a delicious addition to many dishes due to their delicate flavor and meaty texture. Here's a basic recipe for sautéed oyster mushrooms:

INGREDIENTS:
- 300 gr oyster mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons of oil (olive or butter)
- 1 onion
- Salt and spices
- Garlic

How to cook?
1) Clean oyster mushrooms. Most of the time you’ll see that the clusters attached together by a little woody stem at the base. It’s a bit chewy, so it’s best to trim off the stem with a sharp knife.
2) Whether mushrooms can be washed is a much-debated issue. I am telling you what I know and what I have done. I wash mushrooms (by adding 1 tablespoon of flour).
3) Slice them (it is optional).
4) Chop the onion.
5) Heat the pan over medium heat and add oil.
6) Add the sliced onions and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they become soft and translucent.
7) Add the oyster mushrooms to the skillet with the onions. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mushrooms are golden brown and tender. The mushrooms will release moisture as they cook; continue cooking until the liquid evaporates.
8) Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add minced garlic (if using) and cook for another 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Serve the mushroom and onion mixture as a side dish, over toast, with pasta, or as a topping for steak or chicken. It is really delicious and satisfying.
