How To Treat Aquarium Pest Hydra | All About Hydra | Freshwater Planted Tank Pest

Apparently, a hydra can live up to 1,400 years, or possibly forever given the optimum environment. That’s cool and all, but in the planted aquarium hobby, we want them gone asap. In this video, I will go over some fun facts about the freshwater aquarium hydra, plus a super simple and effective way to get rid of them within 24 - 48 hours.

NOTE: THIS METHOD ALSO WORKS ON PLANARIA. FOR ANY FANCY SNAILS (APPLE/NERITE/ETC.) THAT YOU REMOVED BEFORE TREATMENT. YOU SHOULD WAIT 24 HOURS AFTER WATER CHANGE, BEFORE REINTRODUCING THE FANCY SNAILS BACK IN. TO BE SUPER SAFE, I WOULD RECOMMEND RUNNING ACTIVE CARBON AFTER THE WATER CHANGE AS WELL FOR THE 24 HOURS.
