1. What should come first the brand name or the product?
In the past, brand was not something people really care and was experience with the present of the products. However, as time has changed people now have tasted most and experienced a bit of something that`s already existed in the market. There`s not much traditional exist in the market anymore as products improvisation took place in a rapid pace. Everything we do and products at any scale get saturated quickly as more and more people want to dive in to share the pie of options and opportunities. So, as people would already know what would be the next things the best way to start today is to start with your brand. Why? Mostly product usually does not have a brand mission or purpose to serve. However, a brand can be tag along with your life long mission and set an objective to sever people. So, in my opinion first build the brand then based on the mission and purpose and feedback from your community build the products.

2. What are the advantage of building the brand first and products later?
Once you have build your community around your brand. It would help you in many way to market your products and easy to launch not only that it will give you plenty of other option to expand your business opportunities. Keep in mind that people usually don`t buy the product people buy the brand. Take an example for Apple`s phone.
For example let’s say that you want to raise capital investment or expand your business opportunities. People may not buy it because it’s Fried Chicken but people would buy it because its KFC or something of that sorts. When you pitch for your investment or meet the president or decision maker of any business. The first thing they would ask is not about the products but about the brand which is based on your mission and purpose and how would they get their best out of you with investment or partnerships. You product may be the best in the market based on your customer feedback. Here`s the thing, how would your customer explain about your fried chicken? Would you it be better to say if your brand is KFC and they have the best chicken or A store right across the street has the best chicken? Keep in note that your brand name is a spoke person for your business life.

3. Which one is easier to expand the brand or the products?
Brand selling is all about license and permit. It’s all about paper work and it is much easier to sell or distribute your brand license. It will be profitable only when you already build the brand within your community or have a community that recognize your brand. On the other side selling products is totally a different game where it come to share your ingredients and recipes. People once learn your recipes they will be able to create their own with less or more with an option to customize it. To expand your products without your brand would not stay long in the market for the reason there`s no way you can patent or copyright the ingredients. However, with the branding you can always sell/license your brand trademark.
