1. The brain (hypothalamus) sends a signal called GnRH to another part of the brain called the pituitary gland.


2. The pituitary gland then sends two messengers:

FSH (follicle-stimulating hormone)

LH (luteinizing hormone)
These go to the ovaries.



3. The ovaries respond by:

Growing eggs (FSH helps with this)

Releasing one egg (LH causes this — ovulation)

Making hormones like estrogen and progesterone.




These hormones feedback to the brain to keep everything balanced — like a smart thermostat controlling temperature.The pituitary gland is the main controller. It releases:

1. FSH (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone)
→ Tells the ovary to grow follicles (eggs), which start making estrogen.


2. LH (Luteinizing Hormone)
→ Triggers ovulation (egg release).
→ After ovulation, the empty follicle becomes the corpus luteum, which makes progesterone (and some estrogen).
