#ThePrintUncut #nirmalasitharaman Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Rajya Sabha said, 'in the 2024-25 budget, Rs 1.48 lakh crore has been allocated for education, employment and skilling — 28,000 crore more than the previous year. In 2013-14, it was only Rs 85,000 crore. For women and girls, Rs 3.27 lakh crore has been allocated in the current Budget, which is 41% allocation compared to the previous year. The number was Rs 96,000 crore in 2013-14. For rural development, the current Budget gives Rs 2.66 lakh crore while it was just Rs 87,000 crore in 2013-14.'
