So yesterday, I made a video about Emilie and everything we can expect from version 4.8, including the rerun banners, new skins, and the characters who will appear during the main event of 4.8. In that video, I shared some information related to Emilie's kit, her rarity, and her weapon. However, the info about her kit was somewhat vague or incomplete, but today we have received some more information about her kit and playstyle.

Before we begin, keep in mind that these are still early informations and are subject to change in the future, as version 4.8 is expected to be released on July 17th, and we are two months away from that. But the 4.8 beta will begin on June 5th, so we will get complete information about her kit on June 6th, that is if she's releasing in version 4.8.

Coming to the topic: According to info via white, Emilie will be a female character with yellow hair and glasses. I have seen all concept arts of Emilie, but she does not have glasses on in any of them, and there are only two concept arts in which she has yellow hair, and this is the only art that I could find which somewhat matches the info provided by the source. So we are still not sure how she actually looks.

Moving on: Emilie will be a dendro character. As for her rarity, she'll most likely be a 5-star. Yes, you heard it right: we are probably getting another 5-star character in 4.8. According to the info, Emilie will be a sub-DPS character who will be able to deal a good amount of damage. The good thing is that she doesn't rely on burning reactions for high damage, as she will also be an off-field dendro applicator, and her efficiency will be similar to Baizhu's.

We all know how Baizhu got better after Furina's release, and according to recent info, Emilie's release will indirectly buff Baizhu. Remember the new artifact set called Unfinished Reverie which was added in the current patch? That artifact set is basically for Emilie, and maybe for the future Natlan characters.

Emilie scales on attack, and the 2-piece set of Unfinished Reverie provides an 18% attack bonus to your character. And the 4-piece set increases the damage dealt by your character by 50% after leaving combat for 3 seconds. Furthermore, in combat, if no Burning opponents are nearby for more than 6 seconds, that damage bonus will decrease by 10% per second until it reaches 0%. And when a Burning opponent exists, it will increase by 10% instead, until it reaches 50%, and this effect will still trigger even if the equipping character is off-field. According to the info we have, Emilie will be an off-field DPS and her kit will be related to burning reactions, so there's no way that set isn't made for her.

They also mentioned that Emilie will not be suitable for Catalyze reactions. For those who don't know what a Catalyze reaction is: it is basically a group of three elemental reactions that involve Dendro and Electro, including Quicken, Aggravate, and Spread. Quicken is triggered by inflicting Dendro on a target that is already affected by Electro or vice-versa. However, this reaction doesn't deal any damage, but it applies a Quicken Aura to the target affected that decays over time.

Overall, Emilie sounds like a decent character for now, but I can't confirm anything at the moment unless I see her in the beta, which is expected to go live on June 6th.
