On the Road to Wellness is a non-clinical, member-driven, grass-roots organization designed to enable its members to develop and maintain their own wellness plans … whatever that means to them. 

As a Peer Support Agency, that’s how we operate … peer-to-peer.  There are no clinicians or counselors, but a gathering of fellow peers who have a lived experience within the mental health arena.  

There are all sorts of peer supports in the world.  At On the Road to Wellness, we follow a model known as Intentional Peer Support (IPS).  At the core of IPS are relationships and values.  Our days are filled with learning the tools, developing the skills, and holding true to certain core values that enable us to build and maintain all of our relationships, and move toward wellness.

All of our programs are free.  No insurance needed. No appointments necessary.  We are come-as-you-are, come-as-you-please.  Those who come to us readily find that we promote personal responsibility, mutuality, reciprocity, respect, and we work hard at developing a mindset that allows for multiple world-views at the table … in other words, valuing another’s thoughts and beliefs as valid as our own.
