How to Set Up Google Kids Space

When you turn on the device for the first time, you’ll be asked who’s going to use this device. In this step, select My child.

It’s important to know that Google Kids Space works only with Google Accounts for children. This helps to ensure that children's information is handled with the appropriate privacy safeguards. It also ensures that parents can remotely supervise device usage through Family Link parental controls from Google to help promote positive digital habits. Next, Set Up A New Google Account For Your Child (unless you already have one)

Parents can either create a new Google Account for their child that is managed with Family Link or sign in with an existing one.

Setting Up Google Kids Space
Once you’ve either created a new Google account for your child managed with Family Link or have logged into your existing Google account for your child, make sure you have also downloaded the Family Link app from Google on your Android or iOS device. This will help you manage parental controls from your phone.

You will now see a screen asking if you wish to set up Google Kids Space. Tap on Set up to proceed.
Update Google Kids Space if available
Note: This process may take several minutes to complete.

Select Interests
Google Kids Space recommends content based on a child’s interests. This is where the fun begins, so you can invite your child over to help with the next steps. Choose three or more interests, then tap on Next.
Customize your Character
Users can customize their special Google Kids Space Character at any time. Explore the available options and choose a combination that represents you.
Google Kids Space is now ready! If you want to make changes in the future, you can go to the Parent Menu.
