Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor, Mvt. 1 - Frédéric Chopin

Lucie Kim joins the Southern California Philharmonic in performing the solo from Piano Concerto No. 1 in E Minor, Mvt. 1, by Frédéric Chopin.

She began taking piano lessons at age six and currently, 10 years after, studies with Ariel Yang at Opus 119 School of Music. Lucie made her Carnegie Hall debut at age nine and has won top prizes at numerous international competitions. Most recently, she won First Prize in the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic Piano Concerto Competition, and will perform with the group at the Walt Disney Concert Hall this summer (2023).

The So Cal Phil Young Artists Competition selects the best of today's up and coming musical talent to showcase local youth musicians at their very best. This performance was in the City of Tustin, California, 4 March, 2023.
