Mitsubishi Mirage G4 GLX 1.2 CVT
Price: Php879,000
Connectivity: Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, and USB

Japan's carmaker makes its debut in the subcompact sedan market with the Mitsubishi Mirage G4. The Mirage hatchback is available as a sedan. Although it has more trunk capacity, the cabin layout is the same as that of the hatchback model. The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 sedan's body design allows it to satisfy the needs of many Filipino families that desire a sedan but would like to keep the original Mirage's standout qualities of affordability and fuel efficiency.

The inside of the Mirage G4 is all black, and its seats are made of black cloth with a fresh geometric pattern. All variants come with the same 7-inch infotainment system. For all models, the device now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-of-the-line model is coupled with up to 4 speakers.

A 1.2-liter, three-cylinder engine powers the Mirage G4. The 1.2-liter engine generates 100 Nm of torque and 76 horsepower. The front wheel receives power transfer from either a CVT or a 5-speed manual.

The chassis for the Mirage G4 is unibody. The sedan is 4,305 mm long, 1,670 mm wide, and 1,515 mm height, with a 2,550 mm wheelbase. For the front suspension, it utilizes MacPherson struts with coil springs and stabilizer bars. Torsion beam suspension, on the other hand, gives the rear a semi-independent suspension system. The automobile has a 170mm ground clearance rating and a 4.8-meter turning circle, which is relatively small.

The stopping force is provided by 8-inch leading and trailing drums at the back and 14-inch vented discs up front. An 8-inch master vacuum brake booster is included to increase stopping force. The 15 x 5 inch wheels and 185/55 series tires are fitted to the subcompact car.

The small size of the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 emphasizes its ability to be a light and agile city vehicle. Its lightweight design benefits the compact yet powerful engine, and its 3-cylinder power unit responds well to throttle adjustments. But one of its worse features is the CVT, which makes it difficult to get a gratifying pull from the little car.

In terms of handling, the Mirage G4 performs admirably in urban areas but just passably on wide routes. It's easy to operate in confined situations because to the broad driving visibility and light steering feel.

Technology Features
All Mitsubishi Mirage G4 models now come with a 7-inch infotainment system with Smart Phone Link Display Audio (SDA) as standard equipment, according to the most recent upgrade. Bluetooth, USB port connection, and a radio tuner are all included. Furthermore, the updated head unit now supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 4-speaker sound system is included on GLS versions, although just a 2-speaker system is included on GLX vehicles.

With the addition of the brand's Dynamic Shield design language, the Mitsubishi Mirage's front fascia has been updated, including the grille, headlights, fenders, and front bumper. In addition, the back of the car receives modifications that include a new set of taillights and a reworked bumper, as well as a new set of 15-inch wheels.

The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is available in the following colors: Solid White, exclusively on dealer firm orders; only available on CVT versions; Red Metallic, Cool Silver Metallic, Titanium Gray Metallic, and White Metallic.

The newest upgrade for the Mitsubishi Mirage maintains the same interior appearance as the previous model, with the exception of a few small adjustments to the instrument cluster, which now has a carbon fiber construction and new red accents on the gauges. As part of the sedan's makeover, the cloth seats now have a geometric pattern. The car now comes equipped with a brand-new 7-inch infotainment system that is standard on all versions. It now has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay functionality. The 351-liter trunk capacity of the Mirage G4 is unchanged from the previous generation.

Dual SRS airbags for the driver and passenger are standard on the Mirage G4. Additional features include pretensioners and 3-point seatbelts with ELR. Additionally, rear passengers are required to use 3-point seat belts. The GLX is not equipped with ABS by default; it is only available for the GLS models. Additionally, the GLS versions' ISOFIX anchors and the Brake Override System are safety measures.
