Presented by Continental Trailways and produced by Sanders Film Productions, "Wyoming Wonderland" (mid-1950s) takes viewers on a bus trip to see scenic wonders. The film features Trailways Flxible VL-100 Vista-Liner buses. Introduced in 1954, The VistaLiner (VL) 100 was Flxible’s answer to General Motors then new PD 4501 “Scenicruiser”. (The VistaLiner was also a “deck and a half” split-level design, with eight seats on the lower level, and thirty-one in the upper rear portion.) The film focuses especially on Yellowstone National Park, which spans parts of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana. Continental Trailways originated in 1936 with coast-to-coast service as the National Trailways Bus System. Unlike the more dominant Greyhound Lines, NTBS was formed from smaller independent operators, and became an enduring competitor to Greyhound while remaining an association of almost 100 separate companies.
