Amiga Longplay: Maniac Mansion

Dave's girlfriend, Sandy, has been kidnapped and brought to the mansion of the mad scientist, Dr. Fred. Dr. Fred is under the influence of a murderous, purple meteor which landed near his mansion twenty years ago and it has controlled his life ever since. Dr. Fred now wants to dominate the world, and, apparently, needs the fresh brains of teenagers to do this.

Allied with two friends, it's up to Dave to infiltrate Dr. Fred's mansion, avoid getting caught and gain access to his secret lab in order to save Sandy.

There are several ways to beat the game and, therefore, different endings. I played with Wendy and Bernard in order to "intiate" the ending, only available when playing with those two particular characters (calling the Meteor Police AND giving the publishing contract to the meteor). I cut out about 4 minutes of waiting time (waiting for the publishing contract in the dark).

After the longplay itself, 3 alternative endings are shown:
#1: The meteor gets the contract, but is not taken away by the Meteor Police during the talkshow.
#2: The meteor is sent into space, using "weird edsel" and Dr. Fred apologises to Dave and Sandy.
#3: The meteor is taken away by the Meteor Police and Dr. Fred apologises to Sandy for killing her boyfriend. I deliberately killed Dave in order to show a different apology than that of ending #2.
