in//motion is a project led by saxophonist luke chakrabarti, featuring torin davies and julien durand on guitar, josh vadiveloo on bass, and jonno gaze on drums.

mohawk valley is a piece written in response to the mohawk valley formula, written up during the remington rand strike of 1936-7 in the united states. the formula was a corporate plan for strikebreaking to discredit union leaders and frighten the public with the threat of violence, using local police and vigilantes to intimidate strikers. it was labelled by the national labor relations board as a battle plan for industrial war.
