Smart magnetometers make "egg-cellent" overtravel protection limit switches. In this demo, we stop a pneumatic cylinder actuator just short of an egg, showing the SM124 sensor's hard to "beat" precision and the sensitivity to detect a magnet well beyond the width of an egg.
