Exploring Banda Aceh: Indonesia's Sharia Law City 🕌🇮🇩

In this video, I go to the city in Indonesia that imposes the strictest form of Sharia Law in Southeast Asia and has been in the news over the years for not the best reasons. What I found on the ground was far different from what you would expect from the media. We uncover the history of this country, from the history of the Sultanate of Aceh to the Civil War with Indonesia to how the biggest natural disaster of the 21st century changed the course of history for the people of Banda Aceh and made it what it is today. On the way I also meet some amazing people and explore the culture of the city with the locals.
