Did you know that Yellow Brow, the final boss of Chapter 3 in Black Myth: Wukong, is one of the strongest characters lore-wise? In the original Journey to the West, he was powerful enough to subdue even the Celestial reinforcements aiding Sun Wukong and could go toe-to-toe with Wukong himself.

When Wukong first faced Yellow Brow, he was trapped by the Golden Cymbals, one of Buddha Maitreya’s stolen artifacts. The Jade Emperor intervened, sending the 28 Constellations, including Kan Jin Star, the dragon constellation who freed Wukong with her horn. Wukong then challenged Yellow Brow, but despite over fifty intense rounds, neither could gain the upper hand. Yellow Brow retaliated by using his Human Seed Sack to trap all of them, forcing Wukong to escape and seek help from other celestials, including the Turtle and Snake Generals. However, even they were ultimately captured. Only with Buddha Maitreya’s intervention was Yellow Brow finally subdued. Yellowbrow returns in Black Myth: Wukong with an empowered version of the human seed back, corrupting those he traps inside while declaring himself as a new Buddha.
