This is chapter 2 of NCERT Science Class 6 which talks about the components of food. Whatever food we eat contains many essential nutrients like carbohydrates, fats, starch, protein, vitamins, minerals etc. which are necessary for the healthy existence of humans and animals. That's where the concept of balanced diet kicks in which has been discussed in this video. How to know whether a food product has carbohydrates/starch, fats and proteins have also been discussed through some practicals which has to be performed by you in your school's chemistry lab. The food source of different nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins etc. have also been discussed in this video.
