The objective of this video is to let more people know about Green Hospitality (GH)’s Sustainable Hospitality Roadmap, how it plays a part in the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance’s (WSHA) Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality. Furthermore, the video should inform viewers the initiatives and benefits of GH and GH membership. The target audience is people and people working in the hospitality sector who are interested in sustainability that would benefit from GH membership. This video first talks about the state of the sustainable hospitality sector and in what ways the industry is contributing to the environmental problems that we face today. Then it proceeds to dicuss GH's Sustainable Hospitality Roadmap, what is it, the goals and standards that the roadmap imposes and shows that it relates to WSHA's net positive hospitality. Finally, the video tells the benefits of GH membership and how a membership would help hotels reach net positive hospitality.This video was used using DaVinci Resolve, a video editing software.The voice is ElevenLab's A.I. text to speech software. Most of the footage and images are royalty free from the internet primarily from three sources (Pexels, Pixabay and Unsplash). Certain animations in the video were produced through PowerPoint and the in-house animation software in DaVinci Resolve. After making this video, I understand more of how GH's roadmap contributes to the bigget picture of net positive hospitality, and how the concrete details and goals of the roadmap. Moreover, I learned a lot of using video editing skills and techniques by using DaVinci Resolve as this is a new software to me and I rarely edit and produce videos before. It was an enriching experience.
