That's Life! did a section on our street back in the late seventies, and our family were in it (looking much younger of course)...

It was about double glazing grants which one side of the road received for being near the airport, however the other side which didn't qualify were in fact closer to the airport as the Jumbo fly's.

It featured Sir Richard Stilgoe OBE DL (a British songwriter, lyricist and musician) doing a song with the residents.
