MEATBALL MOLLY McCANN: UFC defeat to Erin Blanchfield was tough to take / "I had to tap out"

Meatball Molly McCann shot to fame in 2022 with her success in the UFC - putting Liverpool on the MMA map along with Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett.

Two stunning wins with spinning elbows secured her status as an UFC icon and made her a world wide and local celebrity.

But her year ended with defeat in New York - fulfilling a dream of fighting at Maddison Square Garden - although left her with time to think and reflect.

Now the 'Meatball' is ready to fight in the octagon again as she prepares for UFC London in July 2023.

McCann was speaking to Olympic Taekwondo medallist Bianca Cook and former BBC Sports reporter Paul Garrity at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.
