About this video: How can you download and install Sodium 1.21.8 in Minecraft? Well, in this video, we go over exactly how to get Sodium.

To get started, you will need to download Fabric 1.21.8. Just Google “Minecraft Fabric Download”. On the page there, click the Fabric download page, select “Download” and the “Download for Windows”. This will download the installer. Open the Installer for Fabric, make sure 1.21.8 is selected and click “Install”. Fabric will install, and we can move on to getting Sodium.

There is a link in the description above to get Sodium, but you can also Google Minecraft Sodium download to go to the Modrinth download page. On this page, click on versions, find the 1.21.8 Fabric version and click the green download button.

From here, open the Minecraft Launcher, go to the installations tab, and hover over the Fabric installation. Click the folder icon to open your .minecraft folder. There should be a mods folder. Open this and move Sodium into your mods folder. It’s that easy to get Sodium.

Now, play Minecraft with your Fabric installation, and go to Options and Video Settings. You will see that Sodium is now installed!
