This man has built something special with Vishy Anand | Sandeep Singhal

Meet Sandeep Singhal, the managing partner of Westbridge Capital. When Vishy Anand visited the Westbridge office in Bangalore in 2019, Sandeep asked Anand if there was something that they could do together. A few months down the line, Anand shared with him the idea of a chess academy that aims to increase the conversion rate from a top GM to World Championship level players for these youngsters of Indian chess. That is how the Westbridge Anand Chess Academy (WACA) was born. In this interview with Sandeep, you understand his long term vision for WACA and chess and how he sees things will evolve in the chess ecosystem in the years to come. Being an experienced investment expert, his words definitely mean a lot when he says, "I have no doubt that chess will be commercially viable in a few years from now."
