"Looking In" is an absolute fan favourite. It is a hauntingly beautiful song with a stunning melody and the lyrics are a statement veiled by the vulnerability of Mariah's harbored adolescent fears as they are deeply tied with her experiences. My remix is based on the 1996 bootleg by HaNi so I have to show him some proper respect for creating something magical. Back then he only had the album version to work with. I felt his mix needed justice so I used a lot of his elements but put my own modern spin on them. By switching up some vocals / lyrics for the dub, the script gets flipped and the storyline changes.
