The Best Of South West WA | What To Do When Visiting Margaret River | Episode 58

Our journey through South West WA continues! We've completely fallen in love with the Busselton and Margaret River region of WA. It's so hard to leave!

After a month in Busselton, it's time to get back on the road. We've had an incredible time exploring the region from our base here and have discovered some truly incredible locations.

The South West region is so diverse and easy to get around. Within 30 mins drive, you can find incredible beaches, stunning landscapes, wineries, breweries, picturesque towns and plenty of mountain bike trails and surf beaches for the more adventurous.

We're taking you through some of our favourite things to do in South West WA; most of them are FREE!

We had such a great time hanging out with friends @shayanddean, @strongfamilytravels and @chasing_space_, but it's time to continue south. The first stop is an easy 300m walk to Beedalup Falls. Although there wasn't much water flow, it was a fun little walk, including crossing the river on a suspension bridge.

Camp for the night was at the Arboretum Big Brook Dam. The best part was only a few mins drive away was the Big Brook Dam itself, which offers fantastic freshwater swimming. Just what we needed with the warm January days.

The following morning we made our way to the Gloucester Tree. This 53m high Karri tree has a series of pegs driven into its trunk to allow those brave enough to climb to the viewing platform at the top. Once used as a fire spotting tree, it's now open to tourists and offers incredible views of the region.
