Mariya Nurislamova is the CEO and co-founder of Scentbird, a fragrance subscription service offering personalized scents to customers. A native of a small Russian town, Nurislamova’s entrepreneurial journey began with her move to the United States, where she co-founded Scentbird in 2014 alongside Sergey Gusev, Andrei Rebrov, and Rachel ten Brink.
Under her leadership, Scentbird has grown into a successful brand, often described as the “Netflix for fragrances,” with partnerships including designer brands such as Gucci, Versace, and Tom Ford. Despite her business acumen, Nurislamova’s reputation has come under scrutiny due to controversial public statements and spiritual beliefs, which she openly shares on social media and through her personal ventures as a spiritual guru.
