Описание к видео Makam & Masjid Po Teumeureuhom

This complex is called Tgk Teumeureuhom cemetery. "Hom" means don't know, so do not know who is buried here. Local story said this is a sacred cemetery, the grave of a king who brought Islam from Pasai to Pidie. There are the graves of the king, his family, and his disciples. This place is usually used as a place for pray, recitation and dhikr. There are three gravestones (object) placed in the cemetery. It was the old ones and moved from the forest to the cemetery. The cemetery is associated with the mosque. The cemetery becomes a place of remembrance, then prayer in the mosque. The distance of the two is not far. In the courtyard of the mosque there is an old grave. Old peoples said that these are the graves of the people who founded or took care of the old mosque. The land for the mosque and cemetery is the land of the "mukim" Kandang and managed by the community.

This interview features Tgk. Husaini, a caretaker of the place.
